Welcome to the Thanet
Tree of Light!
The Rotary Clubs of East Kent are proud to work together with Westwood Cross Shopping and Leisure Centre to continue to offer you the opportunity to commemorate a loved-one and, at the same time, to raise money for local charities
“Our beautiful Tree of Light stands at the entrance to the shopping centre, adjacent to the Bus Station and outside Debenhams, and allows friends and family to remember a loved one by sponsoring a light on the tree in their honour.”
A light may be a memorial to a family member, special friend or colleague who has died.
Sponsorship of the lights will be used to support worthy local charities and, in particular this year, The Pilgrims Hospice.

WHO RUNS THE THANET TREE OF LIGHT?
In conjunction with Westwood Cross Centre Management, the Thanet Tree of Light is run by a small committee of Rotarians drawn from the six Rotary Clubs in the Isle of Thanet: The Rotary Club of Broadstairs, Rotary Club of the Isle of Thanet (Sunrise), The Rotary Club of Margate, The Rotary Club of Ramsgate, The Rotary Club of Thanet and The Rotary Club of Westgate & Birchington.
Applications for sponsorship are received online or by the Solicitors, Boys & Maughan and then the committee prepares the lists of the names for display at the Tree and on this website.
The Committee sends a personal thank you card to each sponsor.
